NEWS
COMING EVENTS
Brethren,
Advance notice ("Warning Order" in OPORDER language) of two upcoming events with more information soon to follow.
Masters and Wardens Night - 17 Feb 2010. Invitations have been sent to Masters and Wardens, and DDGMs for Dist. 1A, 1B, 4 and 54. Our own MW Bro. Ed Cohen has graciously agreed to help and speak this evening. We will also recognize our Ladies this evening in consideration of the nearness to Valentine's Day.
George Washington Wreath Laying - 28 Feb 2010. We will gather on the morning of Sunday, 28 Feb to honor our Bro. General George Washington, on the occasion of his birth, by laying a wreath at his tomb - followed by services at Pohick Church. Bro. Steve Brundage has, once again, kindly agreed to provide the wreath and arrange for our visit to Mt. Vernon and Pohick.
PLEASE NOTE DATE CHANGE - The traditional "Sunday closest to the birthday" will see some of our membership involved with the Conference of Grand Masters of Masons in North America (COGMINA). To support having as many OD364 members as possible attend, I've arranged for the event to be on the following Sunday, 28 Feb 2010.
We hope to see each of you at both of these important events!

Greetings!
1. I was notified today by Lady Dottie Smith that Commander Ralph Smith has been hospitalized for recurring back pains and will not be able to attend the 27 Jan Bivouac. He is in Fairfax Hospital.
2. The Bivouac will still go on. Commander Smith had announced that the program will be a presentation by Brother Richard Abell about his book SOJOURNS OF A PATRIOT. The subject of this book, CPL Augustus Pitt Adamson, 30th Georgia Volunteer Infantry, was a Mason and probably raised in a military lodge during the War Between the States. He will also make a presentation of a print of Brother George Washington to CLMA.
3. Changes:
Brother Woody Bentley will be acting commander.
Please RSVP to Adjutant Les Albers at ALBERSLH@aol.com by
Monday evening, 25 January as to attendance and hoagie menu selection.
Menu selection: Hoagies: Tuna, Ham, Veggie, Roast beef.
(Chips and soft drinks as well)
Hope to see you there:
Les
